Oxnard Institute Chiropractic Assistants 8 week Program is designed to prepare our students for a growing career in the medical field.  Chiropractic Assistants usually help chiropractors working in private offices. Some of their duties include checking patients in and out, doing medical billing and coding, and answering phone calls. They need skills in management and technology, along with a basic knowledge healthcare and medical terminology.  

Chiropractic assistants' duties include keeping a chiropractic office in line throughout the business day. This might include registering arriving patients, checking out departing patients, managing patients' files, checking in and out chiropractic equipment and supplies, maintaining billing and coding, recording vital signs and answering phones. Tuition: $595.00



Some other smaller duties may include the following:

  • Maintaining and keeping track of office supplies
  • Verifying insurance
  • Sorting mail
  • Transferring patients
  • Maintaining an orderly work area
  • Laundering towels and gowns used in the office
  • Maintaining other inventories
